In the campus of the fortress of St. Ivana, workshops started yesterday as part of the summer STEM camp RaSTEM. The first workshop entitled “I know how to manage money” was held by Anita Perkov Kalebota, B.Sc., teacher of economic subjects and activist of the Franak Association.
With an exciting entrepreneurial approach, Anita encouraged all participants to think and discuss, and what the children commented aloud to their general delight was: “If only school was this fun!” Anita will teach the children how to manage money over the next few days, together they will develop entrepreneurial ideas and discuss what is worth investing in.
In the field of entrepreneurship, children will also learn from Antonio Vlahov, associate professor. Ph.D.Sc. from the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. Through the workshops I am an entrepreneur and From an idea to a project, they will be encouraged to think and create opportunities on the market.
The last day of entrepreneurship will host the TikTok sensation, crew founder and TikTok mentor Dario Marčac, who can boast of significant business success at only 26 years old and an impressive number of over 500,000 followers.
A large number of children were registered for the workshops, which is proof that the quality and educational program in Šibenik is recognized by both parents and children.
In addition to entrepreneurship, children also participate in large numbers in meteorology and robotics workshops.
The Regional Scientific Center RaSTEM, with a total value of EUR 2,042,449.12, is a project of the City of Šibenik that will be implemented from July 2022 to March 2024 and aims to establish a synergy in the development of formal and informal education for the purpose of developing programs for the STEM field.
